South Metro League Code of Conduct All players, coaches, parents and spectators are expected to act responsibly and demonstrate Sportsman like behavior at all youth program practices, activities and South Metro League Softball events. During all South Metro League Softball events, we want all players to have a fun experience playing the game of softball as possible. We would like players to experience success while continuing to improve their skill level while exhibiting good sportsmanship at all times.
PLAYER CONDUCT
Any player who:
Throws equipment, bats or helmets: will be given a warning with repeat offense game ejection.
Intentionally disregards softball rules: will be given a warning with repeat offense game ejection.
Any player who:
Uses profanity:
Verbally abuses an umpire, coach or other players on either team: Shall be ejected from the remainder of the game, plus suspension from the following game.
Any player who physically abuses an umpire, coach, or other player is ejected from the game – no warning. Repeat offenders will be suspended for remainder of season
CYBER BULLYING of team members, coaches or opponents will not be tolerated, violation will result in a game suspension. This includes phone texts, social media and any other forms of digital media/communications. A second offense will result in suspension of remainder of season. Threats of violence will be turned over the Police Department for investigation. The complete policy can be found in the South Metro League rulebook.
COACH CONDUCT
Coaches are expected to maintain GREAT examples of sportsmanship for both players and adults. Verbal abuse of umpires, other coaches, or players WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
Any coach who:
Uses’ an ineligible player – will be subject to penalties per South Metro League rulebook
Calls “ball”, “strike” during a game will be given 1 warning before ejection from the game. Ejection is not subject to protest.
PARENT / SPECTATOR CONDUCT
If a parent and or spectator demonstrates’ un-sportsman like behavior toward umpires, coaches, players or other spectators they will be asked to leave the game area. Failure to due so will result in a forfeit of the team they are associated with. This rule is not subject to protest.
**Any physical violence during any South Metro League game/event will result in the Police Department being notified of this violation. This rule is in affect for ALL persons attending a game including umpires, coaches, players, parents and spectators.

It is policy of South Metro League that no Player, Coach, Parent or Spectator may use tobacco, alcohol or illegal drugs at games, practices or South Metro League Softball events.
